The Briggs-McDermott House also displays period furnishings and practical implements of the period from 1840 to 1940.  Occasionally, costumed docents will be found baking old-time recipes in the vintage wood stove.  Special exhibits and the art of famed marine artist, Charles Raleigh, are always worth a visit.
